Here is something of interest in light of the attempted terrorist attack on the NWA flight on Christmas day.

The danger of modern binary explosives.

If a little red dot can blow up a watermelon to smithereens, just imagine what 3.4oz + 3.4oz would do. Next time you go through a security check at an airport just think if you really trust the skills of TSA staff to be able to stop this kind of stuff.

UPDATE: Fortunately, so far terorists turn out to be incompetent morons. Though they do have PowerPoint skills.
